AFL Decision Fails Sport In USA
Monday, 09 April 2012 23:49The Australian Football League based in Melbourne Australia, the sports trustee for want of a better term, has again dudded the sport and the USAFL developments plans in the USA by going with a broadcast agreement with the cable station of Fox Soccer Plus for the next three years, 2012 -2014. This will mean that the chances of Aussie Rules Football being shown on mainstream USA TV with an audience potential of 250+ million is about zero.
Instead the games will be on a pay up extra cable channel that is not carried by all cable companies. The development potential of the sport just took 25 steps backwards. It is like the 70s again.
