ImageRevo Andy Vanica is coordinating the USAFL's efforts to help raise money and awareness of cancer as part of Movember. "This is the 4th year I have participated in Movember - the first being in 2007 as a member of the Boston Demons. It's a great cause and good fun seeing who looks like what with a mo'. And a natural fit for footy clubs since Movember originated in Melbourne. Most importantly, Movember raises awareness for mens health and gets people talking about important issues that will affect everyone in one way or another. Last year, Movember raised $42 million USD worldwide, with donations going to the Prostate Foundation and Livestrong.

In 2010, the USAFL has created a Movember network. According to Vanica, "The USAFL has created a network within Movember so that teams and individuals can compare fundraising efforts. Each club has a team within Movember.com. Just register on the site, find your team and join, and start growing November 1st! If you have no club affiliation, find the USAFL Supporter team on Movember.com. Teams will fall under the USAFL network so that we can see what the USAFL as a whole raises, and compare teams and individuals. www.usafl.com will run a "Mo of the Day" picture starting November 1st through the end of the month. Pictures should be submitted on the Facebook USAFL page. Votes will also be taken on the USAFL Mo of the Month. Teams and individuals will also be recognized as top fundraisers."

The USAFL's goal is to raise $15,000. To see the progress check out the USAFL's Movember Network.
