USFooty Preview: OV vs KC

On Saturday August 15, the Ohio Valley River Rats (1-3) take on the Kansas City Power (1-3) at Buder Park in St Louis MO. Game time is set for 2pm (Central). This will see the match up of the 2008 Divisin 4 Champions against KC, the 2008 Division 3 National Champions.

KC Head Coach, Mark Lambert, is confident about his teams prospects. "Preparation has been very good. Strong numbers at training. The St. Louis trip is always popular so lots of competition for spots. Our last metro game was a good hit out, so a number of guys are going into Saturday with some form momentum. Hard to know what to expect from The Valley. We've built some strong friendships over the years playing against these teams, so the battle for bragging rights will be fierce. I'll be looking for strong contributions from everyone, as it sucks to have to leave guys out of the team, so everyone wearing the 'lightning bolt' owes it to their team mate to play well."

OV Head Coach, Kyle Strenski, isn't as confident. "Preparation has not gone well. Just had the injury bug hit a couple of our veteran players and they will not be able to play this weekend. KC has turned around their club and will travel well this weekend. I expect a very tough match as KC will have skill and experience across the positions. Our line up will be different again, so it will take more than just a player or two to step up. We must come together as a team and do so quickly for us to have the opportunity to win."
