The 2009 USFootyNews.com All-Star team has been selected. The team was selected from votes from USFootyNews.com readers and USFooty fans during the month of October. Thanks to everyone that voted!

At full-forward is the 2008 and 2009 USFootyNews.com Goal Kicker of the Year, Nashville's Chris Moerman. The Adelaide boy kicked 41 goals from 7 games in 2009 including two 13 goal hauls. In the forward pocket is Chicago's Rohan "Roofy" Ward. The big man was instrumental in helping Chicago to a threepeat MAAFL Championship. In the other pocket is North Carolia and Revo small Paul Duncan. The half forward line is anchored by big Jason Heathcote, the junior basketballer for the Melbourne Tigers now leads the North Carolina Tigers and is one of the best ruckman in USFooty. On the flanks are two stars of the Revolution, Milwaukee speedster Dan Sarbacker and the Baltimore Washington Eagles forward/mid-fielder R.J. Wheelock. Wheelock is nominated for both the Goal of the Year and the Mark of the Year. An impressive 2009 which included two goals for the Revos against Canada, 3rd place in the MVP Award and 4th placed in the goal kicking.
The center line is again anchored by one of the best centerman to ever play USFooty, Aaron Tyndall. AT coached the Baltimore Washington Eagles to an 10-1 regular season but a disappointing 1-2 at Nationals. His retirement from USFooty as a player and a coach is a great loss to the Eagles and the game. On the wings are two Revo standouts, the Eagles speedy and skillful left-footer Jay Levesque and Nashville star Dee Vsetecka.
The half back line is anchored by the 2009 MVP, the New York Magpies Joel Daniher. JD bears the burden of one of the most famous names in footy, but has lived up to it with a fantastic 2009 including numerous best on grounds. On his flanks are the Revo and Philadelphia teammates Pat Miller and Head Coach Jon Loring. The All-American full back line is led by Nashville and Revo star Luke Nemeth. Nemeth is vying for the 2009 USFootyNews.com Mark of the Year with a spectacular leap against Columbus. In the pockets are two versatile big men. Philly's Alex Lynden-Horn was spectacular for Philly in the September EAFL Tourney leading the Hawks with amazing skill and speed for bigman. Brandon Bludau is in the other pocket. Bludau has quickly established himself as a key-position player for the BW Eagles at either center-half forward or center-half back with his great marking ability.
The Ruck line is all-Nashville, led by big man Damian Serong. Nick Parker is the ruck rover and Revo Dave Walker edged out teammate Vsetecka to get the rover position.
On the All-Star bench are 2009 Division III Champion Dallas Magpies Duncan Relf and Rob Kleifgen, separated by Nashville's Justin Davis. Then comes North Carolina's Wes McCallister, Revo and Milwaukee President Andy Vanica, up and coming Revo star, Austin's Noor Jehangir, Baltimore Washington's Shane Freerson and New York's Shane Batty.
