The Atlanta Kookaburras won all four quarters over a gallant home team the Baton Rouge Tigers to win easily by 78 points this afternoon. Under clear blue skies the home team looked strong through the midfield but were held firm by a strong Atlanta backline. The Kookaburras on the other hand went forward often and made the most of their opportunities winning all quarters well.
The loss continues the long losing streak for the Baton Rouge team who lost all nine of their games last year and already have gone down twice in 2008. The Atlanta team though look like they are on a different track after a rebuilding year last year that saw them just fail to make the Div 2 final at Nationals and have had two comprehensive victories already this season.
Atlanta 15.13.103
Baton Rouge 3.7.25
