The Number 7 Orange County Bombers are on the road in Dallas TX for their first match of the year. The Bombers and the Dallas Magpies face off at 12pm at Lookout Park in Richardson TX. The unranked Magpies celebrate their 10th anniversary in 2008 and are hoping to build on their first round success against the Baton Rouge Tigers.

In 2007 on their home turf the Bombers out-performed the Dallas to team to win comfortably but this time the Magpies are out to make amends. Dallas head coach Stuart Rackham has worked hard during the pre-season recruiting and developing the young teams’ fitness and skills. The home side features a solid line up of talent, veterans and rookies to the fast paced game. This will certainly be a game to be watched.

“The team still has a high percentage of experienced plays, with 5 or more years playing with the Pies but this new breed brings a whole new look to the team. Fitness and speed along with running skills sees the ball travel faster and in a more direct route down to the forwards. The backline is as strong as ever with the return of Captain Pat Sutton. He is well supported by a host of creative backmen. On paper and from what we've seen on the track already this year the team is ready for the challenge,” says Rackman.

The Bombers are led by former US Revolution standout Chris Olson and will Andy Lindsey and the Nelson brothers who were recently named to the Revolution squad to compete in Australia. Dallas will rely on its midfield with rookie Kyle Horgan supported by veteran Steve Moore and Duncan Relf.
