The Baton Rouge Tigers (0-2) are hosting the No. 10 Dallas Magpies in the return leg of their 2008 home and home series on Saturday May 10 2008. Baton Rouge will be looking for some redemption after being thumped by the 2-0 Magpies at the Crawfish Boil in Texas last month. In 2007, the Tigers showed that they were much better at home although in the end they were swept by the Magpies. The Magpies will be missing some of the stars of their first two wins including Steven Moore, Grant Campbell and Stuart Rackham. However, Steven Cassity will be back at full forward after a 4 goal haul against the Orange County Bombers. For the Tigers, Mickey Kleinhenz will be looking to show why he was selected into the Revolution squad for the International Cup.
Dallas Coach, Stuart Rackham, is quietly confident of taking the Third Annual Crawfish Cup. “Not the strongest team we have taken but nevertheless very competitive. We've forgone the tall line up and will be relying on the fast paced and
skills of the running game to work the ball forward.”
The Crawfish Cup kicks off at Noon at Clark Park in Baton Rouge, LA. Players and supporters will be heading to Chelsea’s Café for all-you-can-eat jambalaya after the game. |
