2008 sees the entry of the No. 6 Minnesota Freeze into the MAAFL Championship League. Their season kicks off in St Louis on Saturday May 17 2008 against the 2007 Division III National Champions the St Louis Blues. Both teams are yet to open their accounts for 2008, although some players on both teams were in Florida for the third Revolution camp and a number of the Freeze players pulled on their St Johns jumpers to win the recent USFooty National Collegiate Championship.

The Freeze will be looking to get 2008 off to a good start if they are hoping to make the next step into Division I at the USFooty Nationals in Colorado. According to head coach, Jason Becker, "I don't know what to expect from the Blues. I know they finished strong last year, so they should be pretty good. I think with the weather in St Louis, they'll be happy to play on a dry day. I know our guys are itching to get a run." St Louis will also be looking to get a win at home as they look to compete in Division II at Nationals.

Game time is 2.00pm in Buder Park in Valley Park MO.
