The New York Magpies have for a long time been a quiet achiever around US footy circles. Ranked in the top 8 clubs in the USA for more years than one cares to remember the club has had much success on and off the field. The Metro competition in 2008 the New York City Australian Football League, is now into its 6th year and this season sports four teams and over 60 players. The NYCAFL continues to provide recruitment opportunities and match practice for many local New Yorkers and is for sure fine tuning the Magpies skills for their first game of the season against the Milwaukee Bombers on May 31st.
