2007 Division III Champions, the St. Louis Blues, are riding high after easily accounting for the Number 6 ranked Minnesota Freeze at home.  However, this a road game for the young team and they will be up against one of the best clubs in the midwest the 2007 MAAFL Champions, Chicago United.  Head Coach of the Blues, Dan Sarbacker is quitely confident.  "We should have a side eager to have a hit out against the Chicago boys.  Finishing last season on a high note, and coming out of the gate strong against Minnesota, we'll see if our veterans can help us start to build a contender this season for the MAAFL title...and we all know that road wins are the key."

Chicago United will be looking to improve after a poor showing on the road against MAAFL leaders Nashville.  Head Coach, Paul Drake, is looking for a significantly better performance at home in front of a friendly crowd.  "We were terribly disappointing against what was a vastly improved Nashville team that hit us pretty hard in the first quarter and from then on it was catch up footy and try as we may, we couldn't make a dent on the scoreboard.  At home and with more metro games and training runs under our belt, I feel we will be much improved despite the loss of five regulars from the team including Matt 'Mustard' De Jong with the dreaded torn ACL meaning a season on the sidelines for him.  In front of our home crowd and after several weeks of soul searching, I've asked a lot of questions of our core players who I felt played very selfish football in Nashville and didn't do the things that win games such as picking up, handballing and running, instead favoring the grab it and kick it style."

If you are looking for some great match ups then this should be a good game.  Chicago will probably put Dave Allen on Dan Sarbacker to slow him down.  Chicago's veteran big man, Al MacGlashan, will have his work cut out for him against Revolution ruckman, Dan Sergott.  Probably the biggest question in the game is whether Chicago's big full forward, Warrick Burgmann, can kick a bag full or whether St Louis can find someone or a defensive scheme to contain him.
