In probably of the game of the week, the Boston Demons host the No. 2 Baltimore Washington Eagles. Boston has been one of the strongest teams in the EAFL since its inception and will be looking to revenge their loss to the Eagles last year in DC. The Demons are hoping to start afresh after a disappointing 2007. At the helm they have a new coach, their former coach, Scott Nicholas.

“We know BWE will be a huge test for us. They are fit and determined. It will give us the chance to evaluate where we are currently with our 2008 campaign. I hope the Demons are able to make the game competitive enough for the number 2 ranked team in the US.” Eagles Head Coach, Aaron Tyndall was breaking out all the clichés for the game. “A talented football side and besides New York the yardstick of the EAFL competition. No doubt up in Boston, they will be a vastly improved side from last time we meet in DC. It is going to be a great test for us. Boston seem to want to run and carry. We have to slow down or stop their runners.”

The Eagles are taking up a relatively inexperienced team but Tyndall is hoping that the young guys perform well and he is looking for output from the likes of RJ Wheelock, Dwayne Marshall, Matt Bishop and Ben Merlin.

The game is at the Gaelic Athletic Association’s (GAA) facilities at 200 New Boston Drive, Canton, MA, 12:45pm. Curtain raiser metro game starts at 12pm.
