Battle of the Forwards

Saturday June 14 sees the Nashville Kangaroos travelling to Baton Rouge Tigers. The game will see a dual between two of the top full forwards in USFooty. The current leader of the USFooty Goal Kicking List with 15 goals is Chris Moerman for the Nashville Kangaroos. Moerman will hoping to out kick his opposite forward, Pat Muller, who sits right behind him on 14 goals for the 2008 season.

Kick off is set for 12pm at Clark Park in Baton Rouge. All you can eat jambalaya and all you can drink beer (for those over 21 and not driving) follows at Chelsea's Cafe.

Nashville is 5-0 lifetime against the Boys from the Bayou over the past three years, with three wins at home and two on the road. The home wins have been comfortable with a margin of about 100 points. The road has been a different story where the margin has been just 14 points. So far this year the Roos have been very accurate with 43 goals and 24 behinds and it is likely that will need to continue this weekend as the Tigers have always played the Roos strong when at home, so scoring shots are likely to be at a premium.

The Tigers will be looking to their founder and veteran leader Pat Muller to lead them to victory, along with their first ever Revolution player, Mickey Kleinhenz, while the Roos will be without their start co-captain Luke Nemeth for the first time. They Roos will be looking to the rest of their veterans led by co-captain Travis Quigley, the sophomore class led by Nick Parker, as well as a trio of talented rookies in Blair Morris, Damian Serong, and USFooty leading goal kicker Chris Moerman to step up big time.

This game was not much of a battle. Muller got shut down, and Moerman kicked 13 goals. Moerman is unstoppable.

nashvilles defense were determined to shut down Muller, and did so tenaciously.
