On Saturday June 28, Chicago United hosts the No. 9 Minnesota Freeze for the Freeze's second MAAFL game. The Freeze are coming off a solid loss in the first game which was on the road in St Louis, while Chicago easily handled St Louis at home. United have been very good at home and coach Paul Drake owes some of the success to their home ground. "Our home ground at Waveland Avenue may be a bit of a sardine tin but it suits our gameplan perfectly and is an imposing place, however beautiful, for visiting teams. It's always great to play there and if the weather is good, expect a massive crowd."

Game time is 4pm at Waveland Park (Irving Park and Lake Shore Drive) with after match at the Rebel Bar and Grill.

Drake is excited about taking the Freeze at home. "We all looked at that St Louis game with intrigue as I am sure the rest of the league did. We assumed a big victory for Minnessotta down there but it's very hard to win on the road but we are expecting them to field a much better team as the loser of this game can pretty much kiss the 2008 MAAFL crown goodbye. We see their speed as their main asset so are hoping the weather stays wet."

United is well into its Metro season, the Chicago Australian Football League. The stand out team has been the Lincoln Park Piranhas, very well lead by Al McGlashan and Danny Kastilahn, however, they suffered their first loss to the Tigers led by Revo Frank Bradley last friday night.
