On Saturday June 28 2008, two of the oldest clubs in USFooty renew their long rivalry. The Kansas City Power (0-0) travel up to St Louis to take on the Blues (1-2). Power coach, Mark Lambert, is relatively new to the rivalry but is excited about kicking off the Power's 2008 season.
Game time is 2.00pm at Buder Park, which is in the municipality of Valley Park, Missouri.

"I'm very excited about Saturday. To play St Louis at this stage of the season gives us an indication of where we are at. It's also a huge opportunity for our young blokes to experience the game at a higher level. I've only been around for a couple of years so I don't have a true sense of the history and rivalry between the two clubs. My first game for the Power was against St. Louis and we beat them quite comfortably. Since then they have smashed us home and away. As our closest rival it's important we remain competitive so these annual clashes are interesting and remain permanent fixtures on our schedules."
KC has also begun its 2008 Metro season with the Tigers taking the first game against the Lions by 8 points.
St Louis is backing up after a tough loss at home to the Nashville Kangaroos. They are hoping for some improvement and looking to control the ruck through Revo Dan Sergott with Dan Sarbacker and Dan Brown controlling the mid-field. "Always a good match. KC is always very keen for games with us, and while we've certainly had the better of them in the majority of matches the past few years, they probably have a younger side than we do and have constantly built experience through the ranks. Wins do not come easily against them," says Sarbacker. Quote this article on your site I Views: 161
