WorldFootyNews.com and USFootyNews.com have joined forces to create the USFooty Top Ten Poll. We have the results of Poll #4, and San Diego (1-1) has managed to hang on to number 1 position despite being upset by No. 5 Golden Gate (1-1) and only managing two number 1 votes.

1 San Diego Lions (1-1) (2 #1 Votes)
2 Denver Bulldogs (3-3) (4 #1 Votes) (UP from 3)
3 Balt/Wash Eagles (5-0) (3 #1 Votes) (DOWN from 2)
4 NY Magpies (5-1) (1 #1 Vote)
5 Golden Gate Roos (1-1) (UP from 6)
6 OC Bombers (1-1) (DOWN from 5)
7 Nashville Kangaroos (4-1) (IN)
8 Dallas Magpies (4-0) (DOWN from 7)
9 Chicago United (3-1) (IN)
10 Seattle Grizzlies (4-2) (DOWN from 8)

Also receiving votes Atlanta Kookaburras (4-1), Florida Redbacks (2-3), Minnesota Freeze (0-2) (OUT), Philadelphia Hawks (1-1), and Boston Demons (1-3) (OUT).

After dominating the Portland Invitational Tourney, the Denver Bulldogs (3-3) have reclaimed the number 2 position and actually received the highest amount of number 1 votes with four. The Baltimore Washington Eagles drop down to 3 despite a record of 5 wins and no losses, their first road win in Boston and defeating both No. 2 Denver and No. 4 New York at the Faststream Florida Invitational Tourney. That said, the BW Eagles ranked second in the amount of number 1 votes with three.

The New York Magpies remained at number 4 despite 5 wins including wins against ranked opponents Denver and Boston and their only loss to the No. 3 Baltimore Washington Eagles by a solitary point at the Faststream Invitational. The Golden Gate Roos moved up to number 5 after beating the No. 1 San Diego Lions in San Francisco, but their season has been mixed with a loss on the road to the No. 6 Orange County Bombers.

Orange County fell to number 6 despite beating the No. 5 Golden Gate Roos at home but still counting a loss to No. 8 Dallas Magpies on the road. The "Nashville Star" this week were the Kangaroos who shot into the Top 10 at number 7. Nashville leads the MAAFL after defeating St Louis on the road and thrashing Chicago at home.

The Dallas Magpies fell to number 8 but still have an undefeated record and a solid win over the No. 6 Orange County Bombers earlier in the year. Chicago United clambered back into the Top 10 at number 9. Chicago has played much better since their visit to Nashville with solid wins over St Louis and Minnesota at home. The Seattle Grizzlies fell down to number 10 after a couple of losses including to No. 2 Denver and the Portland Power in Portland. Still they have four wins including two over Portland to lead their home and home series and one over Vancouver.

Well it was more of cry of despair! Sorta like George Costanza when he cried "I was in the pool, I was in the pool", that sorta thing. :p

I think we agree, essentially. The main difference between the two of us is that you like to yell "IT'S A POLL!" at people.

Im quite happy to see comments and the intention isnt to mock anyone believe me. Im just trying to make the point its the opinion of a small group of people. Does that make it official? No never, and we dont ever pretend it to be.

We could include yourself and a few others but the results wouldnt probably change that much. Do you think teams like Dallas and BWE should be ranked elsewhere?. What about New York and Nashville? Sand Diego are 1-1 but that doesnt make them the 12th best team in the country like the ladder currently shows.

Call it subjective if you wish, and ill timed, but not everything is perfect. This one of those occasions.

I don't quite understand the exclamation "ITS A POLL!" We know it's a poll. Why are you mocking people who comment on it? Don't you like comments?

statistical significance. ???

The identities of the voters aren't revealed,???

You guys are too funny, ITS A POLL...!

Go ahead disregard it but at least its got ya talking.

Cheers!

I agree with Alex. If I were voting, I wouldn't lower Baltimore/Washington until they lost a game.

I count ten votes for #1, hence there are ten people polled. That isn't enough for statistical significance. The identities of the voters aren't revealed, which would be useful to assess the meaning and validity of the results. Poll #4 is also very poorly timed, a week before NY @ BWE and OC @ SD. Overall, the best response is probably to disregard it.

The only "poll" that matters is the scoreboard.

No decisions are made mate, ITS A POLL.!, the six or seven people vote on their top ten and that determines the result. Denver having a couple of wins in Portland was enough for some perhaps to see their losses in Florida as a small set back.

Believe me the total votes for the top 4 or 5 teams are really close, so positions are going to change. The only undefeated teams in the country are Balt and Dallas, Balt is #3 and Dallas at #7 is probably a fair indication of the teams they have faced and where.

Boston and Minne going out seem like a fair call, if they can come back and win some games Im sure the next one will be different.

Ok...Glad to see Nashville @ #7, but what gets me is having several teams with undefeated records not near the top. I can understand with Dallas a bit, since they don't face the Championship Division MAAFL teams at all this season, to my knowledge. But, Baltimore/Washington not at the top spot is quite unusual, considering their schedule thus far. How did that decision was made to actually drop them to #3?
