Things aren't good in St Louis, a Belgium based beer company is taking over A-B. Still the St Louis Blues (2-2) will be looking to restore pride to the city by beating the boys from Milwaukee (1-1) and claiming the Beertown Cup. The Blues have had two good victories at home against the 2007 Division II Champs, the Minnesota Freeze, and against cross-state rivals Kansas City. However, they lost to Nashville in their second home game of the season. Still, a win on Saturday and St Louis moves to 2-2 in MAAFL play and is at least mathematically still in the hunt. A solid win over Milwaukee will also solidify their claim on a Division II birth at Nationals.
Game time is 2pm on Saturday July 19 2008 at Buder Park, Valley Park MO.
The Milwaukee Bombers absolutely scraped home against Ohio Valley in their last game. In this league, though, any road win is a good win and the Bombers are 1-0 in MAAFL play. According to Blues Coach, Dan Sarbacker, "I expect they dearly miss the Brunmeier brothers, but they have some solid current and former revos that anchor that team. Bruce Beilfuss, and the addition of Revo Andy Vanica, will be two we have to watch closely. They will be a good side, and have been for a number of years. At this point, a down year for them is certainly still a contender."
So what will be hoisted after the game, Stella Artois or Peroni Nastro Azzurro? Quote this article on your site I Views: 156
