The USA Revolution team have been hit hard by injuries leading up to the International Cup games in Melbourne Australia commencing August 27th. The Revolution team has been forced to make changes to their original squad announced earlier this year.

Out due to injury are James Brunmier, JJ Ciserno, Mike Lavelly, and Mike Busse. Importantlty Jarrod Brunmier is also listed as now unavailable which is a double blow for the Revo team with both experienced Brunmier brothers now not playing. USFootynews received this statement from Rob Oliver about the injured players and their replacements.

'We will miss these players but thank them for their efforts over the past years as valuable and enthusiastic members of the Revolution Squad. We wish them well in their recoveries and hope that they will get the chance to represent the USA again" Oliver said yesterday.

"However we are a team and this gives the opportunity to players picked as alternates to come into the team and grab their chance. They have been replaced by Josh Loring, Jay Mueller, Jeff Person, BJ Gambaro and Jason Becker. Well done to all players in the team. Roll on August 27th." Oliver added.

The Revolution have an expected tough first up game against Denmark on the 27th and must now be concerned since some of their best players are no longer able to be there.

USFootyNews will bring you scores and reports as they happen next week as well as player blogs as the team start to make their way down to a cold and wintery Melbourne town for the third International Cup.
