This is the last poll of 2009. The No. 1 Denver Bulldogs breezed through their group into the Grand Final of the USFooty National Championship Tournament and scraped home by 3 points against the No. 2 Seattle Grizzlies to win their seventh USFooty National Championship. Their unlikely opponents were the Seattle Grizzlies who came into Division I after winning the 2008 Division II National Championship. Seattle were able to beat the No. 4 Baltimore Washington Eagles and the No. 5 Orange County Bombers in the wet and were grateful to the Eagles for putting a hurting on New York to give them the birth into the Final. The No. 3 New York Magpies were able to beat both Seattle and the Orange County Bombers, but weren't able to handle their nemesis from DC. The Eagles came into the championship as favorites but lost first game up against the 4th seed Seattle. They were over run by Orange County, but were a completely different team when they thrashed New York. The OC Bombers were unlucky against New York, brilliant against the BW Eagles and then unlucky again against Seattle.

The No. 6 Golden Gate Roos came into the tournament 1-1 and were able to scrape by No. 9 Boston by the smallest of margins and handle unranked Vancouver, but were no match for Denver. The No. 7 Milwaukee Bombers were one of the surprise packages of the tournament. They had an unspectacular regular season, but managed to defeat No. 10 San Diego first up in Division II and then with a controversial finish they got over the line against unranked Nashville and handled North Carolina. In the Division II final they were no match for the unranked Calgary. The No. 8 Chicago United had a great regular season going undefeated and winning their third MAAFL Championship in a row. They scraped by unranked Kansas City, thrashed unranked Minnesota but were unlucky against eventual Division II Champs the Calgary Kangaroos. The No. 9 Boston Demons struggled against the top teams in the EAFL and lost to Denver and were very unlucky against Golden Gate. However, they were able to get a very exciting draw against Vancouver. The No. 10 San Diego Lions came in as one of the favored teams for the Divvy II Championship but lost first up to Milwaukee and were never able to get it back despite thrashing North Carolina and handling Nashville.

It was another great season of footy. Congratulations to Denver!
