Minnesota Freeze teammates, Andrew Werner and Brent Mergen, spent the 2009 footy season representing USFooty in Western Australian country football. Werner and Mergen were part of a group of five players to play in WA as part of the first year of a program run by Dale Ballantyne at WAFC that gives USFooty players the opportunity to play footy in Australia.
