ImageOn Saturday July 24 at 1pm, the (2) New York Magpies (7-1) take on the (3) Baltimore Washington Eagles (2-2) at Baltimore's Bocek Park. The Magpies had the upper hand in the EAFL Tournament earlier in the year, so the Eagles will be looking to bounce back against their arch-rivals.

According to Magpies Head Coach, Glenn Ormsby, "The Eagles have been one of the best sides in the league the last few years and have had our measure over that period so we expect them to be very tough, especially on their home ground. The feeling around the club is that we will have to play somewhere near our best to be competitive in baltimore as they are very tough to beat, and always seem to play well against us. They move the ball quickly and are very well drilled.

Eagles Head Coach, Denis Ryan, is looking for the Eagles season to turn around. "We have no choice, but to regroup. We're at the crossroads. I think we have the character to turn our club back in the right direction. It's a little cliched, but due to the circumstances we find ourselves in, this week, more than any other, is about the team. We'll stand together as a team or we won't stand at all."

With a new head coach, the Magpies have changed their game plan, but the Eagles have taken note. "They brought a very different style in Philly to what they previously had under Rob Oliver. We're expecting the same again Saturday. This time we're ready," says Ryan.
